In-person registration is still open for the Sequoia Century. You may register at the Bicycle Outfitter in Los Altos between noon and 4, Saturday, June 6 or at the VA on Sunday, June 7. Cash or check only. You can download the registration form and release form to fill out and bring with you or forms will be available at registration.

sequoia century bicycle ride

The Sequoia Century is the Western Wheelers Bicycle Club’s big annual event, providing the opportunity to complete fully supported 100-mile or 200K ride out to the Coast and back. There are shorter 50 K (31 mile) and 100 K (62 mile) options, also.

tour routes

50K route
(8:00–10:00 AM start) — Loops through Los Altos Hills, Portola Valley, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. This mellow ride is 33 miles with 1200 ft. of climbing.

100K route
(7:00–9:00 AM start) — Climbs Redwood Gulch and Big Basin Way to Saratoga Gap, goes north on Skyline, descends Alpine Road to La Honda, continues to San Gregorio, climbs Tunitas Creek Road, descends Kings Mountain to Woodside, and returns to Palo Alto. This mountainous metric is 68 miles with 6000 ft. of climbing.

100-mile route
(6:00–8:00 AM start) — Follows the 100K route, and adds a loop from Saratoga Gap to Boulder Creek. This scenic century is 102 miles with 9000 ft. of climbing.

200K route
(6:00–7:00 AM start) — Follows the 100–mile route, and adds a loop from San Gregorio down the coast to Pescadero. This challenge is 124 miles with 10,600 ft. of climbing.
