Based in Palo Alto, we host recreational road bike rides virtually every day of the week on the Peninsula and South Bay, and occasionally farther afield. We have rides suitable for beginners, as well as social rides for experienced cyclists and challenging rides for dedicated enthusiasts. Non-members are welcome on our rides as guests (unless the description says it’s for members only). If you enjoy our rides, join the club, individual dues are only $25 yearly! We are a non-profit organization which relies on the volunteer efforts of our members.

The 2011 Sequoia Century was a SOLD OUT success!
Although the weather forecast threatened storms and lots of rain, the day was cool and dry, with damp pavement only near the summit. Thanks to all the riders who registered and rode. Though the rain forecast caused us to cancel our music, people had fun snacking and chatting at the end of the ride. Check back next year to register for the 2012 Sequoia Century.
If you lost anything during the ride this year please contact Judy DeFranco, Sequoia Chair. Her contact information is on the Big Wheels page.
2012 Bicycling Photography Contest
Because the photo contest proved so popular 2006 through 2011, it’s back again for 2012. For details see the 2012 Bicycling Photo Contest page.
See the 2011 entries and winners here.
Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition
The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) promotes the bicycle for everyday use because they see bicycling as a central solution to the environmental, health, and social problems facing our planet.
Jerseys! Jerseys! Jerseys! (And Vests!)
Short sleeve jerseys and (sleeveless) vests are currently available in most sizes in both the Club and Sequoia designs. Please send your order form to Bob Graf, our new Jersey Czar, if you would like to purchase a short sleeve jersey and/or vest. We can also special order vests and sleeveless jerseys, if there is sufficient interest: please let us know (
