Bicycling Photography Contest

The Photography Contest at the Holiday Party was very popular so we will be having another contest at the end of 2008. We would like to encourage budding photographers to take photos throughout the year & submit them to the contest. Rules are shown below. Changes for this year are: emailed photos will be printed as 5”x7” (instead of 4”x6”); for US Mailed photos, please also send file via email (for the website); US Mailed photos will not be returned.

The Rules

• Must be taken between 1 Dec 2007 and 30 Nov 2008
• Must be related to biking in some way
• Limit of 2 photos per contestant
• Only Western Wheelers members are eligible
• No professionals!
• Each contestant may win only 1 prize
• Voting for the 3 winners will be by members present at the Holiday Party
• Committee favorites may also be chosen
• Photos will be anonymous for the vote
• Submissions must allow publication in The Flat Tyre, newspapers, websites
• Send submissions between 1 Nov and 5 Dec 2008, by email or US Mail

Submissions by email: Send to . Photos will be printed as 5”x7”. Committee will crop if needed, best if submitter does the cropping. Include your name, phone and email address.

Submissions by US Mail: Send to

Up to 5”x7” prints only, mounting optional. Put name, phone, email on back. Photos will not be returned. Please also send file via email so it can easily be put on the website. If no file is emailed, we’ll scan the printed version (it’s just that the quality suffers in this case).
